We&rsquo;re calling on the best cooks, pitmasters, family recipes, and backyard legends to step up, fire up the grill, and compete for bragging rights.But this event is bigger than a parade and cook-off. It&rsquo;s about preserving our history and celebrating our culture together. We&rsquo;re inviting families with roots in the Negro District and East Austin to share their stories, photographs, videos, memories, and family history so future generations can see and understand the community that came before them.
