Since 1999, Southern Vermont Area Health Education Center (AHEC) a non-profit, educational organization has been dedicated to growing and sustaining southern Vermont’s health workforce especially in our rural and underserved communities. We invest our resources in connecting students to health career exploration programs, meaningful college internships, and professional mentoring opportunities that will lead to increased access to primary and preventive care, and healthier communities. Southern Vermont AHEC is one of two independent nonprofit regional AHEC centers funded by federal, state, and community support working in partnership with the University of Vermont Larner College of Medicine’s Office of Primary Care and AHEC Program.  <span fr-original-style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 16.5px; white-space: pre-wrap;" style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:16.5px;white-space:pre-wrap;box-sizing:inherit">Please read these Official Rules before entering the Southern Vermont AHEC 50/50  Raffle. By purchasing a ticket, you represent that you meet all of the below-stated requirements and agree to be bound by these Official Rules and by the decisions of the (the “Sponsor”), a registered 501(c)(3) charitable organization, or its representative. <div style="font-style:normal;font-variant-caps:normal;font-weight:400;letter-spacing:normal;text-align:start;text-indent:0px;text-transform:none;white-space:normal;word-spacing:0px;-webkit-text-stroke-width:0px;text-decoration:none;caret-color:rgb(0, 0, 0);color:rgb(0, 0, 0);font-family:Helvetica;font-size:12px;box-sizing:inherit"><ol><li style="counter-increment:rte-list 1;list-style-type:none;counter-reset:rte-list 0;overflow-wrap:break-word;box-sizing:inherit">THE RAFFLE: Raffle tickets can be purchased beginning Mid-March 2024 and ending on Wednesday May 8th, 2024 at 11:59pm. At or around 4:00pm on Friday May 10th, 2024, the winning Raffle ticket number will be drawn. The participant who purchased the winning Raffle ticket will be notified by e-mail and will receive fifty percent (50%) of the gross proceeds of the Raffle. All remaining proceeds will be used to carry on the work of Southern Vermont AHEC. All 50/50 Raffle ticket sales are final. </li><li style="counter-increment:rte-list 1;list-style-type:none;overflow-wrap:break-word;box-sizing:inherit">ELIGIBILITY: The Raffle is open to U.S. residents located in eligible jurisdictions that are eighteen (18) years of age or older as of the date of such person’s purchase of the Raffle ticket. Any employee or volunteer involved in the raffle process are not eligible to enter or win. The Raffle is subject to all applicable federal, state and local laws and is void wherever prohibited. </li><li style="counter-increment:rte-list 1;list-style-type:none;overflow-wrap:break-word;box-sizing:inherit">ENTRY: If you meet the eligibility requirements, you may enter the Raffle by agreeing to be bound by these Official Rules. Tickets will be available for purchase at a cost of Five Dollars ($5.00) for each or Twenty Dollars ($20.00) for five tickets. Participant need not be present to win.  Ticket payments received after this date will be ineligible to win. Purchasers that buy tickets online will be sent an email.</li><li style="counter-increment:rte-list 1;list-style-type:none;overflow-wrap:break-word;box-sizing:inherit">DRAWING: The Raffle Prize winner will be selected in a random drawing. A single Raffle ticket number shall be randomly selected from all eligible Raffle ticket numbers sold during the Raffle Period. The random selection will be conducted by Southern Vermont AHEC whose decision is final and binding. The winner will be e-mailed immediately following the drawing. The winner’s name will not be disclosed publicly without prior written permission from the winner</li><li style="counter-increment:rte-list 1;list-style-type:none;overflow-wrap:break-word;box-sizing:inherit">CLAIMING A PRIZE: To claim a Prize, the holder of the randomly selected winning Raffle ticket number must present the actual ticket stub or the email containing their ticket purchase (for online purchases). </li><li style="counter-increment:rte-list 1;list-style-type:none;overflow-wrap:break-word;box-sizing:inherit">TAXES: Raffle ticket purchases are not tax-deductible. The Prize Claimant is responsible for any and all federal, state and local taxes, fees and other government assessments on the awarded Prize. Furthermore, each Prize Claimant acknowledges that federal law requires that a tax withholding on certain prize values must be collected from winners upon award or distribution. Federal and state withholding laws are subject to change without notice. The withholding laws in effect at the time each Prize is claimed will be followed.</li></ol></div>
