This piece was born from a moment of silence.
Not an empty silence, but one filled with presence — the moment in which the soul withdraws to listen to what comes from within.
It was in this intimate space that the colours began to reveal themselves, as if each layer were a response to an unspoken question.

Blue appeared first — dense, deep, like a dive into faith.
The gesture was guided by an inner listening, by an impulse that cannot be explained, only felt.

“Inner Dialogue” is about this encounter: the silent dialogue between the human and the divine, between what can be understood and what can only be believed.
It speaks of the love that sustains, the faith that soothes, the dreams that insist on being born, and the peace that arrives when the heart finally surrenders.

More than an image, it is a state of mind — an invitation to pause, breathe, and allow the soul to find its own dialogue.

Intuitive abstract piece, created on raw cotton fabric measuring 1.51 x 1.65. Mixed media technique. Unique, original artwork.

Sad Boy by Ricardo Nissaf item

“Sad Boy” portrays a moment of quiet vulnerability — a child sitting alone, suspended between sorrow and longing. His small frame, curved inward, reflects a tenderness that life has already tested, yet not extinguished.

His tear is the most delicate element of the painting: it carries pain, but also truth. It reveals a heart that feels deeply — and only hearts capable of deep sadness are also capable of deep love.

Around him, the muted tones and textured background create a space that feels both worn and unfinished, as if the world around him is still in the process of becoming. This unfinished quality is where dreams quietly reside — in the places where life has not yet fully formed.

Despite the sadness, there is an undeniable presence of faith in the painting. It appears in the way the boy sits upright, even if fragile. In the way he remains present, not erased, not fading — but still here. Faith is often this small: the simple act of staying.

And from faith comes hope — the soft, nearly invisible light within the composition. It does not shout; it hums beneath the surface. Hope lives in the idea that this moment, as heavy as it is, is not the end of his story. It is a chapter, a breath held before something shifts.

“Sad Boy” reminds us that even in deep silence, the human spirit carries four things that cannot be taken away:
the dreams that keep us imagining, the love that keeps us feeling, the faith that keeps us standing, and the hope that keeps us moving toward the light.

24x36x1.5 inches, 2024

Description: “Under the Tuscan Sun” bursts into life with a symphony of color — a vibrant, dancing landscape where warmth, light, and movement blend into a single breath.

This abstract field feels alive, as if the sun itself spilled across the canvas, igniting every stroke with vitality. Hints of red, yellow, lavender, and pink intertwine like wildflowers swaying in a Tuscan breeze. The thick, expressive textures evoke the sensation of standing before a meadow in full bloom — unrestrained, sun-kissed, and overflowing with joy.

Above it, the sky shifts in soft blues touched with gold, echoing the late-afternoon light that Tuscany is known for: dreamy, luminous, full of promise.

This piece captures a moment of pure emotional sunshine — the warmth that settles on the skin, the beauty that overwhelms the senses, and the feeling of freedom that only wide open landscapes can bring. It invites the viewer to linger, to breathe, and to feel the soul-deep calm of a summer afternoon beneath the Tuscan sun.

Description: This piece was born from the idea that hope can still rise, even in the midst of chaos.
Hope that lifts itself like a kite—light, fragile, yet determined—echoing the innocence of childhood.

By evoking the image of a child flying a kite, the artwork invites us to remember how we once looked at life’s storms: with curiosity, wonder, and a heart untouched by fear.
It’s a reminder that even during turmoil, there is a way to face the wind—with the same playful courage that guides a kite into the sky.

Description: Both pieces come from a body of work connected to the theme “Talk More About Love,” which includes many artworks featuring this fragmented heart motif. As the name suggests, it’s an invitation to speak more about love.

The reference used in the second piece is something I had already explored early in my career, which is why it’s titled “Dos Veces.” It is a study created using high-contrast lighting as part of a research project that combines expressive female gazes with urban
elements and a multicultural aesthetic.

Description of the work: This abstract artistic representation captures the spirit of the Bird of Paradise flower, native to South Africa. Against a deep, midnight black backdrop, the canvas comes alive with a dance of colors that evoke the flower's unique form. On the left, a streak of cerulean blue gently flows down, reminiscent of the cool tones found in the flower’s pointed petals. This merges into a swath of fiery orange, akin to the vibrant, crane-like crests of the Bird of Paradise. The colors curve and rise, transitioning into a column of blended reds, greens, and blues, mirroring the flower's distinctive, fan-like bracts. The bold color palette and dynamic movement on the canvas celebrate the exotic and striking beauty of the Bird of Paradise, inviting viewers to appreciate its association with freedom, magnificence, and the splendor of the natural world.
