Intermediate Cheer Tumbling Our Intermediate Cheer Tumbling class is designed for athletes who have mastered the basics and are ready to progress into more advanced tumbling skills. This class is intended for athletes with a consistent back walkover OR CLOSE (must get cleared with Coach Taylor or Coach Kassy if you do not have a consistent BWO) and a strong understanding of foundational tumbling technique. Athletes will focus on developing the strength, power, body control, and technical precision needed to safely progress toward a back handspring. Class instruction includes: Back walkover refinement and consistencyFront walkoversHandstand and snap-down drillsRound-off techniqueBack handspring progressions and drillsRunning tumbling fundamentalsStrength, flexibility, and body awareness Our coaches emphasize proper technique, safe progressions, and individualized instruction to ensure each athlete builds confidence while developing the skills necessary for higher-level tumbling. Recommended for: Athletes with a strong back walkover and solid foundational tumbling skills who are working toward a back handspring. Consistent technique and coach approval are recommended for placement in this class.
