The Chester Historical Society is thrilled to offer a walking Historic Homes Tour on Saturday, May 9, 2026. The generous owners of seven historically significant private homes in Chester are opening their doors to a limited number of visitors from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The tour offers a peek into three centuries of Chester history. The houses are all centrally located, within walking distance of designated parking and Chester village. Parking is NOT permitted at any house. Volunteers will be at each home to provide information. In some instances, homeowners may be on hand to answer questions about renovations and related topics. We recommend you purchase advance (&quot;early bird&quot;) tickets; please note we stop sales of these tickets at 9:00 p.m. on May 6. Tickets may be purchased on Friday, May 8, from 3 to 6 p.m. at the Chester Meeting House, or the day of the tour from 9 a.m. on at the Meeting House. They will be priced at $50 per person, with no discounts for anyone.
