Burning coal, spending freely, and demanding joy from everyone in the room, Scrooge out-Christmases himself as generosity curdles into spectacle. What begins as a comedy of excess becomes an examination of who actually benefits from Christmas gestures and whether redemption, when treated as a performance, is more exhausting than cruelty.
