About this event
CityMenTor Mentoring Program, an initiative under the 501(c)3 non-profit organization Taste of the South, Inc. d.b.a City Men Cook, is designed to support the personal and professional growth of men aged 16-30. This program offers a structured approach to mentorship, focusing on key areas essential for development.
At the core of CityMenTor is a series of five sessions where participants are paired with at least five mentor experts. These mentors provide invaluable guidance and support, creating a mastermind network aimed at enhancing the growth trajectory of each participant.
At Taste Of The South DBA City Men Cook, we know that change starts with people like you. Every act of kindness, every dollar, and every moment of your time brings us closer to achieving our mission. Together, we can create a brighter, more compassionate world for all.
How you can help power our mission:
City Men Cook was built on the same values many of us learned standing in our grandmother’s kitchen or gathered around that Sunday dinner table — where wisdom, love, correction, prayer, laughter, and purpose were all served together. As Big Mama would say, “You cannot climb a smooth mountain.” Those lessons helped shape generations, and City Men Cook continues that tradition by creating spaces where mentorship, fellowship, wellness, culture, and positive images of Black men can thrive.
Big Mama would always be on that front porch stoop delivering wisdom to sons, daughters, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and neighbors alike. Today, City Men Cook carries that same spirit forward — using food, fellowship, storytelling, and service to bring people together and strengthen our community.
