This tray is handcrafted from hazel wood acquired during rotational coppicing, a sustainable practice that rejuvenates older hazels and encourages biodiversity. Use it to dry flowers and herbs, hold fruit, or serve up some tea. It can also be hung on a wall as decoration, and various adornments can be tucked into the weave if desired. The wood has not been treated in any way and may be burned or buried as part of a memorial or celebration.
If you prefer, the weavers can be trimmed flush with the frame. Some people like the wild whimsy of the fanning out stems while others enjoy a cleaner look.
