Clown II: Physical Comedy and the Architecture of LaughterTaught by Dan Griffiths&nbsp;April 7 - June 117-9pm2400 Bayshore Blvd in San FranciscoStudent Showcase June 12 + 13 at 8pm This 10-week intermediate course deepens the performer&rsquo;s understanding of Clown through the language of the body. Students will refine their sense of timing, physicality, and spatial awareness, exploring how physical design and movement create comic rhythm and dramatic tension. We will construct bits, play with objects, and investigate the visual structure of comedy. Through physical improvisation and rehearsal, students will build skills in comedic form, movement precision, and ensemble play. Core Concepts: Timing &bull; Physicality &bull; Line &amp; Space &bull; Bit Construction &bull; Object Play &bull; Comedic Structure Pre reqs: Clown 1 or other previous clown experience. He has created and performed original works in over 45 states and 30 countries since 1988. Dan has performed with the Clown troupe Die Hanswurste, Chicago&rsquo;s 500 Clown, and internationally for The Department of Defense Overseas Shows. He has served on the faculty of esteemed institutions such as the Dell&rsquo;Arte International School of Physical Theatre, Clown Conservatory San Francisco, The School for Mime Theater, Columbia College Chicago, Roosevelt University, Indiana University Northwest, and Academy of Art University. As the Founding Director of Church of Clown, ClownZero, and KAPOOT Clown Theatre, Dan continues to influence the clowning community profoundly. He recently premiered a new work in the World Culture Festival in Karachi Pakistan and will be teaching Clown in Tacloban, Philippines with Duwende Mischief Lab in 2025. &nbsp;
