Register for CLT 2026 Summer Camp 🎭 and give your young performer a week filled with acting, movement, and creative storytelling on stage. Culpeper Little Theatre&rsquo;s summer camps break the mold of what you think theater camp is - our camps follow a See-Learn-Do model. On the first day of camp, students will get to see professional artists perform and then learn more about the camp&rsquo;s theme from those working artists! For the rest of camp, students will be divided by grade level (Middle/High school and Elementary school) and CLT&rsquo;s teaching artists will work with your students to take what they saw and learned from the pros and create their own performances to showcase on Friday afternoon! Each day will include a combination of age/developmentally appropriate games, projects, and curriculum pertaining to the camp&rsquo;s theme. Sign up for one week for $200 per camper or all three weeks for $500.&nbsp;To receive a sibling discount of 10% use the code SIBLING Camp Week 1 June 1-5 - Physical Theater&nbsp;Our Physical theater camp is all about the ways we can bring stories to life without words! Students will learn how to use stage movement, pantomime, stage combat, and other skills. OnDay One, we will be joined by Noble Blades, the D.C. area&rsquo;s premier professionally trained and community-based stage combat troupe!&nbsp; Camp Week 2 June 15-19 - Shakespeare/Fairy Tales&nbsp;Our Shakespeare &amp; Fairytales camp explores storytelling from two different theatrical traditions. Elementary students will bring classic fairytales to life through imaginative characters and playful scenes, while middle and high school students will dive into the language and performance style of Shakespeare. On Day One, we will be joined by American Shakespeare Company, who will lead a special workshop introducing students to Shakespeare&rsquo;s world and performance techniques. Camp Week 3 July 20-24 - PuppetryOur Puppetry Camp is all about the magic of storytelling through puppets! Students will explore puppet movement, character creation, and imaginative storytelling while creating and performing with their own puppets. On Day One, we will be joined by Barefoot Puppet Theatre, a Richmond-based touring company known for their award-winning productions featuring hand-crafted puppets, original music, and beautifully built staging. Their work also highlights creative sustainable practices, using materials like cardboard, wool, handmade paper, and recycled elements to create unique and biodegradable puppets.
