Filmed in and around Silverton and the San Juan Mountains, the movie captures the community and its dramatic landscapes as they looked more than seventy years ago. &nbsp;Starring Edmond O&#39;Brien, an Academy Award-winning actor known for The Barefoot Contessa and numerous classic film noirs, Sterling Hayden, remembered for Dr. Strangelove, and The Godfather, and Dean Jagger, Academy Award winner for Twelve O&rsquo;clock High, Denver and Rio Grande brings together an exceptional cast to tell one of Colorado&#39;s defining stories. Their performances, combined with breathtaking Colorado scenery, make this much more than a Western&mdash;it is a celebration of the determination, ambition, and rugged landscapes that helped shape the American West.
