Cob is a combination of water, sand, clay, and straw. This mixture brings together elemental substances that when combined, become something more.In this four hour workshop, we will learn about the history of cob, learn about material sourcing, and make a big batch of cob. But this isn&#39;t your ordinary cob workshop! We are also going to focus on the collective work we are doing and explore collective meaning making. We will introduce nontraditional objects and materials into the process, exploring its properties as an aggregate (where everything gets mixed in and kind of homogenized) as well as the surface of the cob. This workshop will be playful, experimental, serious, poetic, messy, and educational.
