As Associate Publisher and Editor of the Call and Post, Ms. Harper championed civil rights, elevated community voices, and advanced equity throughout Greater Cleveland. Her leadership extended across numerous civic and nonprofit organizations, including Central State University, the Urban League of Greater Cleveland, the Vocational Guidance Center, the Delta Life Development Foundation, and Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. Her impact was widely recognized, including her scheduled induction into the Press Club Hall of Fame in 2013. In 2014, while attending our Central State University&rsquo;s Homecoming, Connie Harper suffered a heart attack and later passed away on October 25, 2014. Her passing was a profound loss to our chapter, her family and friends, her sorority sisters, and the broader community.
