Kim Torpey will teach cornhusk doll-making techniques learned from her grandmother, and each participant will create their own doll made of corn husks and other natural materials, inspired by St. Brigid, Celtic icon of female independence, leadership, and creativity.&nbsp; Associated with spring, Brigid is seen as a figure of transformation and &quot;peace-weaving,&quot; holding relevance for environmental and social justice. In 2023, she became Ireland&#39;s first female patron saint honored with a national holiday.
