Hosted by TV Writer Brandi Nicole, learn ways to&nbsp;find your collaborators, discuss best practices (&amp; minefields to avoid) for team or group writing, create a schedule to help you finish your samples&nbsp;or launch into production, and maintain grounded optimism while navigating staffing challenges.&nbsp; Come prepared to take notes and ask questions, leave feeling connected to community and empowered to create! Houghton Hall Arts Community, 22 E 30th Street, NYCBooth Studio Brandi Nicole is a writer/performer whose work centers on multidimensional, underestimated women. While she started as an actor, she fell in love with the storytelling process after writing &amp; producing MUTED, a short starring Chandra Wilson about media discrepancy when a child of color goes missing, that was acquired by HBO and garnered over 175k views on YouTube via Issa Rae&rsquo;s #ShortFilmSundays. She has since written and/or produced a handful of shorts as an indie filmmaker under her Rainy Day Bliss production banner. On the TV side, Brandi got her start as an HBO Writers Fellow and has written for legal/crime dramas including YOUR HONOR (Showtime/Netflix), HAPPY FACE (Paramount +), and is currently staffed on the Bosch spin-off BALLARD (Amazon). While on hiatus you can find Brandi indulging/performing in her first love, musical theatre. Presented by Aisle &amp; Lens, a non-profit Film and Theatre organization that builds community, cultivates storytelling, and creates social impact through women and non-binary led stories.
