Culture in Food: Minimal Waste Cooking Class Series is a four-part, hands-on cooking series that connects cultural food traditions with practical strategies to reduce&nbsp;food waste. Led by Chef Cheng, participants will learn techniques to use ingredients fully, repurpose leftovers creatively, reduce over-preparation, and make the most of seasonal foods. Each class will feature a culturally meaningful food or cooking tradition, combining hands-on cooking, cultural storytelling, and discussion about sustainable food practices. The series will include mooncake making for the Mid-Autumn Festival and other seasonal foods, while encouraging participants to bring these practical, minimal-waste cooking strategies into their own kitchens and communities.
