A true treasure from a bygone era, this late 19th-century Swiss music box features a gorgeous interchangeable cylinder mechanism that plays multiple melodies with a simple turn of the crank. Housed in rich dark wood with delicate floral inlays and an ornate brass keyhole, it's both a working instrument and a stunning antique — the golden cylinder and pins visible under glass are as beautiful as the sound they produce. A museum-quality piece with timeless charm. Originally owned by an Early CVPE member, Deborah Banner. Donated by Ruth Kravetz. (Market Value: $1500)

$100

Starting bid

Every crack tells a story — and this one is fighting for our kids.

This stunning large-format Raku vase was handcrafted by a local Houston potter using the ancient Japanese firing technique that creates its signature crackled white glaze. No two Raku pieces are ever alike; the dramatic network of lines across its surface formed in fire and smoke, making this a one-of-a-kind work of art.

Display it. Treasure it. Know that bidding on it helps CVPE fight for our schools. Donated by Craig Clark. (Market Value: $600)

This isn't something you buy off a shelf. This is a custom, beautifully framed original poem written to your liking by Sister Mama Sonya — poet, playwright, activist, and minister with deep roots in Houston's historic Third Ward.

Lucas (Good Hope Missionary Baptist Church and former president of the Houston NAACP), Sister Mama co-founded Three Sisters in the Spirit Theatre Ministry, authored the acclaimed play Sisters at the Cross, and published Sweet Sensations for the Spirit. Her poetry weaves together the cultural tapestry of the Third Ward, the American South, and the African diaspora.
