For this fundraiser, we invite everyone to come walk, bike, roll or run a 3k or 5k! This event is to spread awareness and raise money to purchase new adaptive sports equipment and sport wheelchairs for South Plains Adaptive Recreation Club. We would love to continue offering our participants opportunities that are free of cost; however, we will need some help to continue fund our events! Your support & time is greatly appreciated- we couldn't do what we do with you!
This fundraiser is also a tribute to Wes Harley. Wes was the founder of West Texas Turning Point from 2007-2011. His non-profit organization's mission was "to ensure that children and adults with disabilities gained the self-esteem, physical fitness and self-confidence to live a full quality of life that they deserve". Wes broke barriers in the community advocating for equity and inclusion for individuals with disabilities & impacted countless lives. We hope to carry on Wes's legacy through SPARC to build community through adaptive sport and recreation.
