Participant-German Patrol

Set during World War II, from the German soldiers point of view, this will be a chance to participate in a simulated patrol through training ground that was once used while the Fort was active.     Participants will be paired with a living historian and should be prepared for the weather.  Some parts of suitable uniforms will be available to loan out for the day.  If you have appropriate uniforms, please bring them.  This will be a march in full gear and for safety only living historians will be carrying period correct blank firing weapons. At the conclusion of the patrol, you will be participating in a simulated battle demonstration with direct and indirect blank fire. A professional photographer will be on hand to document the event.  The terrain is hilly with rocks and logs, approximately one hour and will be comparable to the difficult trails here at the Fort.  Wear suitable footwear preferably in brown or black and dark clothing.  Participants need to be 14 and older, 18 and under be must accompanied by an adult.   This activity is not for viewing by spectators.
