Manship Artists Residency celebrates FIVE YEARS of stewarding STARFIELD! "Painting the Day." A Retrospective Exhibition of Work by Betty Lou Schlemm @ STARFIELD.  Open Saturdays and Sundays, October 1, 2, 8, 9, 15 + 16, from 1 to 4 pm. Reception for the public, family, and friends will take place Saturday, October 8 from 4-6 pm.  Manship Artists Residency will exhibit Betty Lou Schlemm’s early commercial work, as well as landscapes, still lives, and portraits completed during her career as one of Cape Ann's most accomplished painters and beloved teachers. The exhibition will be installed in the Manship Studio with proceeds to benefit a residency for a watercolor artist in her memory. A reception for family, friends, and the public will take place on Saturday, October 8 from 4-6 pm.  Location: Directions will be sent upon registration. Parking: There is limited parking on site. HOWEVER, there is parking on the grass along side the road just past the entrance to the Manship driveway. (The Manship driveway is the first driveway on the left after you turn onto Leverett Street.) If you would like a nice short walk, you can park on Washington Street. There is also parking across the street from STARFIELD @ 25 Leverett Street, both alongside the road on the grass AND in their driveway. Our neighbors are very generous and allow Manship guests to park in their very long driveway during events. There is no need to print out a ticket, your name has been added to the list.
