When: Thursday, December 1st from 5:30 – 7:30Where: Oil Library and Main FoyerWhat: Beer, Wine, Cocktails and light snacks This year we will be featuring an art installation named “Texas as Art” create by Rebecca Dodge designed to “engage the viewer - though art - with the diversity of Texas landscapes including the expression of natural ecosystem elements (water, vegetation, soil, bedrock, weather, climate), geologic features (mountains, rivers, plateaus) and the expanding human footprint (agriculture, cities, energy production, mining).” This gallery has been integrated into the K-12 science curriculum across the state and prints will be available to purchase/order at the event just in time for Christmas. All proceeds will go to support the Oil Library! Here is an example of her art . . .
