Hello NJ NICA Coaches! Welcome to another offering of the NICA On-the-bike (OTB) 101 Skills Training for coaches, led by our amazing NJICL Coach Supporters. You’ll learn the NICA-endorsed training method, which includes the progressive steps needed to teach anyone (even yourself) both basic and advanced mountain biking skills. You will also learn about experiential teaching techniques, how to accommodate different learning styles, and how to create a positive learning environment for young riders. The class will take place on March 9th, 2024. 16. We know March weather can be fickle, so we've also set up a reschedule date for March 16. As with all our OTB classes, we recommend dressing in lots of layers This session will be conducted at Indian Hills High School, 97 Yawpo Avenue, Oakland, NJ 07436. The fee includes a NICA OTB 101 field guide for your pack. If you have a coach plate from previous seasons, please bring it to put on your bike.
