Darn It! Weaving Life & Love into Your Favorite Knitted Items<ul><li style="box-sizing:inherit">Explore playful, colorful repair techniques with an introduction to darning and weaving</li><li style="box-sizing:inherit">Gain insights on choosing materials and techniques for functional and decorative fixes</li><li style="box-sizing:inherit">Practice on a sampler before applying your new skills to your own garment</li></ul>Textile artist, Sienna Larson, will explain darning materials, techniques and tips followed by a hands-on darning and weaving tutorial. You will then have time to ask for advice about your knitted item in need of repair (like socks, sweaters, or other knit textiles), begin the repair and leave with a plan and the confidence to extend the life of your clothing.  Darning will be your favorite new sustainable DIY idea and will add small pops of color to your wardrobe. Open to participants 16 and over. No prior experience necessary. Date: Sunday, March 2 from 1-3:30 pmLocation: Hopkinton Historical SocietyCost: $45 for Historical society members and $50 for non-members. All materials provided.
