Turn your kids’ day off into a day ON! Kick off 2026 with us as we practice peace and put words into action! This is your chance to experience the spirit of CISV and see what camp life is all about—right in our own backyard.  In conjunction with Martin Luther King Jr. Day, CISV Michigan City-Lakeshore is hosting Day On for Peace: A CISV Mini-Camp. We’ll engage in fun activities that promote peace, understanding, and cooperation through a hands-on UNESCO-approved curriculum focused on diversity, human rights, conflict &amp; resolution, and sustainable development. This is a drop-off event.  All adult chaperones are CISV Child Safeguarding trained with complete background checks and a 1:6 child to adult ratio will be maintained all day. What to Expect: <ul><li>Engaging Activities: Get a glimpse into the CISV experience with hands-on activities.</li><li>Build Connections: Plenty of opportunities to make lasting friendships</li><li>Practice Peace: Learn real tools for cooperation, empathy, and resolving conflicts.</li></ul> Details:<ul><li>Date: Monday, January 19, 2026</li><li>Time: 9am - 4pm</li><li>Location: For youth safety, the exact location will be shared after registration. We’ll be hosted by a church in North South Bend. </li><li>Registration fee: $40 per child</li><li>Appropriate for Youth Ages 10-15. Youth will be divided into smaller groups with kids their own age to do age appropriate activities. </li><li>Meal: Lunch and snacks will be served (Pizza. Youth with dietary restrictions may wish to bring their lunch). </li><li>Note:This is a youth-only drop off mini-camp.
