2024 FiCEP / FiCEP Recertification

The Southeastern Credit Union Foundation (SECUF) has partnered with CUNA and CU Difference to offer an exceptional financial counseling training program for credit union staff and volunteers. The Enhanced Financial Counseling Certification Program (FiCEP) program combines self-study with instructor-led webinars and networking opportunities. Thanks to the generous support of our donors and sponsors, we can offer this enhanced FiCEP program at a lower cost.

Participants who successfully complete the program and exam earn the prestigious Certified Credit Union Financial Counselor (CCUFC) designation. This certification demonstrates proficiency in critical financial counseling skills and concepts, empowering participants to provide superior service to credit union members and guide them toward greater financial stability.

Registration fees are per person and include nine webinars, an exam prep webinar, PDF books, group exam proctoring, a virtual training workshop, and access to the FiCEP Connect network. Pricing is as follows:

Register 1-5 participants: $799 per person/$999 per non-member
Register 6-10 participants: $699 per person/$899 per non-member
Register 10+ participants: $649 per person/$849 per non-member

Please note that once the May 2, 2024, registration deadline has passed, refunds for the program cannot be issued. Refunds cannot be issued for students who leave the credit union during the FiCEP period. Substitutions can be made with another student from your credit union before May 2, 2024. However, SECUF must be notified to make these changes.

Hard copy of the book

Registrations comes with a PDF version of the book. If a student wishes, they may order a hard copy of the book for an additional $100.

FiCEP Recertification

If you earned your Certified Financial Counselor designation three or more years ago, you are encouraged to complete continuing education to keep your certification. The SECUF also offers recertification for past graduates of the FiCEP program.
