W﻿e're gathering at <a href="https://maps.app.goo.gl/Zg3cycgQwqnPYxpr5">St George Spirits</a> in Alameda for the afternoon of Sunday, November 10th in order to explore the world of heritage grains through the cultural and place-based food lens of seven East Bay chefs - Nafy Flatley of <a href="https://www.terangafoods.com/">Teranga Foods</a>, Rahul Hari, Manny of <a href="https://www.bolitamasa.com/">Bolita Masa</a>, <a href="https://cafecolucci.com/">Cafe Colucci</a>, Loren of <a href="https://www.basecampbakery.com/">Basecamp Bakery</a>, Marlene of <a href="https://www.instagram.com/tsiripurepecha/">Tsiri </a>and a team all hailing from rice culture. Get excited for millet and teff and fonio and wheat and rice and corn and amaranth, oh my!In addition, t﻿here will be opportunities to learn (and buy!) from representatives from grain growers and millers and advocacy groups like <a href="https://www.farmermai.com/about">Farmer Mai Nguyen</a>, Bob Klein from <a href="https://www.communitygrains.com/">Community Grains</a>, David from <a href="https://www.capaymills.com/">Capay Mills</a>, Wendy from <a href="https://umamimart.com/products/luna-koshihikari-organic-rice" target="_blank">Luna Koshihikari Rice</a> and Tim from <a href="https://admiralmaltings.com/">Admiral Maltings</a>. <a href="https://www.instagram.com/firebrandbread/?hl=en" target="_blank">Firebrand Baker</a>y and <a href="https://honoremill.org/" target="_blank">Honore Farm &amp; Mills</a> will have special breads and pastries for sale (and Honore will be demonstrating their <a href="https://honoremill.org/mobile-mill" target="_blank">mobile grain mill</a>!).
