The Backcountry Film Festival celebrates human-powered, backcountry-inspired stories rooted in wild snowscapes, stewardship and stoke. Doors open at 6:00pm for a lights on happy hour film "Camp Blank" by The Blank Collective. Happy hour pricing, powder shots and big lines will be sure to set the tone for the evening.  Lights will dim at 7:00pm for the Backcountry Film Festival featuring a collage of short documentaries and ski movies about the pursuit of objectives and ideals in the mountains. Fundraising from the film festival will go towards supporting The Spokane Mountaineers, IPAC, and the Lands Council.

This event serves as the club's official kick off to ski season and will have information on club trips and events scheduled for the winter, please stop by and check things out. Fundraising from the film fest is being distributed to support organizations in the area including The Spokane Mountaineers, IPAC and the Lands Council, who will also have information on their organizations during happy hour at the event. Doors will be open at 6:00pm for our "Powderhour" happy hour. Although an awesome movie will be playing, talking and socializing is encouraged during this time as we aim to bring our community together and foster excitement for winter.
