Join the nation&#39;s leading animal rescuers in building a movement to save all the dogs in labs! <a fr-original-style="" href="https://blog.simpleheart.org/p/this-is-the-new-plan-to-save-the?utm_source=publication-search" rel="noopener noreferrer" style="text-decoration-color: currentcolor; user-select: auto; box-sizing: inherit;" target="_blank">The Ridglan rescue</a> proved what courageous, organized people can accomplish: dogs once condemned to laboratory cages are now safe, loved, and free. From September 4&ndash;6 in Madison, Wisconsin, we will build on that victory and take its lessons nationwide&mdash;equipping you to join the next major rescue effort at a dog-abusing experimentation facility and defend the right to rescue in court.&nbsp; This will not be a summit where people simply sit and listen. Participants will:<ul fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;"><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">Complete an intensive nonviolent open rescue training.</li><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">Learn the legal theory behind the right to rescue from leading lawyers and scholars, then practice delivering closing arguments in a mock trial.</li><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">Build practical skills in campaigning, animal care, knowing your rights, and storytelling.&nbsp;</li><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">Participate in creative, nonviolent demonstrations that bring rescued Ridglan beagles before the Attorney General, District Attorney, and other political leaders&mdash;and help make animal rescue a defining public issue.</li></ul>We are looking for particularly committed participants, so we can train you to organize similar summits and workshops in the future.
