Its mission is to recognize, prepare, and reward African-American youth who exemplify scholastic and artistic excellence. This program is fully funded by donations and sponsorships. We award prizes and our gold medal winners are then eligible to compete at the annual NAACP National ACT-SO competition which takes place at various cities throughout the United States. This is an all expenses paid trip for the students and chaperones that is fully funded by the fundraising and donations that we receive.&nbsp; With your support, the Coraopolis NAACP can continue to support our local ACT-SO program. We are also proud to say that in 2023, we had a national silver medalist in Poetry Performance and in 2024, we had a national gold medalist in the category of Sculpture.&nbsp; Thank you for your support.
