This is especially important for postpartum mothers who may have limited support systems or need additional help while recovering after birth.

For some mothers, going home with a new baby doesn't mean going home to a village. They may be recovering from a difficult delivery, caring for other children, living with a physical disability, or simply navigating postpartum without adequate family or community support.

Through A Place for Ummi, in-home postpartum support can include hands-on newborn care, breastfeeding/lactation support, assistance with light household needs, emotional support, education, and helping mom get the rest and recovery time she needs.
