He led an eventful life in eventful times, and became known among his church members, fellow pastors, and family members as a gifted storyteller. We will listen to him tell stories from his life and ministry under five themes&mdash;1) God&rsquo;s Providence, 2) LC-MS and WELS Church History, 3) Humor, 4) Poignant and Heartwarming, and 5) Pastoral Situations and Horse Sense. After citing some real situations and conversations that demonstrate some of the different positions and practices in our circles, we will investigate the historical and religious context of Christ&rsquo;s institution of the Lord&rsquo;s Supper, including a careful exegesis of the phrase, &ldquo;the fruit of the vine.&rdquo; We will then trace the historical practice of the Christian church with the liquid element and conclude with some practical applications.</div>
