On October 21, 2023 The Shine Project Foundation will host its 3rd Annual Surf & Turf Fundraiser in Carlsbad and Oceanside, CA. This exciting event is a combination of two San Diego favorites activities – surfing and golf! The day starts out with our Surf contest where teams of four compete in a relay style format with single elimination at Tamarack State Beach in Carlsbad.  Then, participants can participate in our Golf tournament in a team of 4 scramble at Goat Hill Golf Park in Oceanside.  Afterwards, teams and guests will enjoy an after-party with food, drinks, silent and live auction, live music, and more!  All funds will go towards supporting The Shine Project Foundation’s mission to provide free fun inclusive enrichment events for families with special needs in order to create a more accessible community that allows all children, teens, and young adults to SHINE regardless of their special needs! This year, our Surf and Turf Fundraiser is not just about funding our events, but we are now ready for The Shine Project Foundation to expand and become essential to the San Diego community. With the funds raised, we hope to be able to reach even more families with special needs AND create the Shine Certified Community Partner Program for families to know what businesses in Carlsbad actively create a safe and welcoming environment for the special needs community.
