Please bring your own thermometer or ask a cooks liaison for help. Contestants responsible for all cooking, warming and serving equipment as well as tables, tents, chairs, and booth decorations (CHEERs will have a small amount of kitchenware and pots that may be borrowed but are VERY limited). CHEERs will provide sample cups, spoons, napkins and vote buckets. Hand washing stations will be provided and washing of utensils can be done in the sinks of the cafeteria should the need arise. We will have helpers available to assist in washing on the fly or filling in as needed at your booth. Contestants are responsible for keeping a list of all ingredients (not amounts or measurements and not in any specific order that would give away any secrets) for the guest if needed to ascertain allergens or food products that are not allowed (for whatever reason) in their diet. Please make sure it specifies which proteins are used (ex.beef, pork, chicken, TVP, tofu, wombat, emu), all possible gluten ingredients (ex. soy sauce), nut or nut oils (ex. peanut oil to saute’) or less known allergies (ex. garlic). Be specific in how the ingredient is added (ex. Fresh garlic or powdered garlic. It can make a difference.) Let’s keep our guests safe! You do NOT have to keep this displayed. Only use when asked by the guest. All alcoholic beverages inside the booth must be in unmarked and covered cup ware to avoid spilling in the sample foods. (It happens, believe me!) Think Yeti covered drink-ware, etc. Judges will be judging your chili only! No sauces cheeses, chips or other accompaniments will be considered for official judging. People's Choice samples can be whatever insanity you deem necessary. Get wild! Guests are NOT allowed to touch any toppings or serving equipment.
