Boys 13+ with 4+ Years Ballet | Audition Time 11AM-12:00PM

Take note the audition time is from 11:00-12:30 PM.  Please arrive 15-20 minutes prior for check in. DBA students must be in Level 6 to register. Please wear ballet shoes, and bring pointe shoes to your audition.

Girls 13+ with 4+ Years Pointe | Audition Time 11AM-12:30PM

Take note the audition time is from 11:15-11:45 AM.  Please arrive 15-20 minutes prior for check in.  Dancer must be at least 5 years old on audition day.

Girls 5-6  - Audition Time 11:15-11:45 AM

Take note the audition time is from 11:50-12:20 PM. Please arrive 15-20 minutes prior for check in.

Girls 7-8 |  - Audition Time 11:50 AM-12:20 PM

Take note the audition time is from 12:25-12:55 PM. Please arrive 15-20 minutes prior for check in. Ballet shoes only. Pointe shoes are not required for this audition.

Girls 9-12, No or < 1 Year Pointe | 12:25-12:55 PM

Take note the audition time is from 12:35-1:35 PM. Please arrive 15-20 minutes prior for check in. Please wear ballet shoes, and bring pointe shoes to your audition.

Girls 10-12, 1+ Full Yr of Pointe| 12:35-1:35

Boys 5-18, No Dance Exp  - Audition Time 1:40-2:10 PM

The Festival Ballet of North Central Texas has been part of the Denton community for 37 years, hosting an annual production of The Nutcracker featuring local youth talent alongside professional dancers. The production typically features 100+ local youth dancers from over 50 local schools. The full-length production allows our local youth talent to experience the intricacies and dedication required to present a professional ballet.

As we have multiple audition times throughout the day and specific age groups, it is essential to keep track of your individual ticket details. Your registration is allocated to a particular age group and time slot. For Dancers: Arrival Time: Dancers need to arrive 15-20 minutes before their scheduled audition time. This extra time is necessary for check-in and to receive the audition number. Late Arrivals: Please be aware that late arrivals may not be allowed to join the audition if the group has already entered the building. We highly recommend arriving on time to avoid disappointment. For Parents, Family Members, Guests: Studio Space Limitations: Due to space limitations inside the studio, we require that all parents and family members remain outside during the audition. This ensures a distraction-free environment for the dancers and allows our judges to focus solely on the audition process. Dress Code for Dancers:<ul><li style="box-sizing:inherit">Girls 5-8 yrs old | leotard (any color/any style) with pink tights (under leotard) and pink ballet slippers. No skirts or shorts.</li><li style="box-sizing:inherit">Girls 9+ | leotard, pink tights (under leotard), pink ballet slippers (bring pointe shoes if applicable). No skirts or shorts. For those 10+ that meet requirements for pointe auditions, please remember to bring your pointe shoes along with ballet shoes.</li><li style="box-sizing:inherit">Boys 5-18 with No or Limited Dance Experience | Tights or shorts, t-shirt & jazz shoes/ballet slippers or socks (no sneakers).</li><li style="box-sizing:inherit">Boys 13+ | Tights, fitted shirt & ballet slippers • Dancers will leave all bags, street shoes, food, and cover-ups outside.</li></ul> Kind regards.
