What is a library membership and how much does it cost?
Our independent library membership grants you access to all of our literature and resources, similarly to how a public library functions. Library memberships are absolutely free. As most of our organization is made up of volunteers and donations, we do have a suggested donation of $25/year (about $2/month) to help us maintain our library if you are able.
Which resources am I allowed to take home?
Unless stated otherwise, all of our literature, books, and resources that are available on our shelves are available for rental. This includes and is not limited to books, newspapers, music records, essays, technology equipment, etc.
How long can I hold onto something I rented?
We have a 2-week courtesy policy for all of our rentable materials. This means if after 2 weeks, someone is on the waitlist for the item you have, you will have to return it so allow others the opportunity to access said resource. You will be notified via email if someone is on the waiting list for your checked out item, otherwise, hold onto the book for as long as you need.
Help! I lost the book I rented out… I didn’t mean to.
Please report all lost books and resources to lib@panethnicpourovers.org. This will reach everyone on our library team so that we may replace the missing resource as quickly as possible. Please also include your name and your membership details.
We do not charge fees for lost or damaged books or resources, so long as good faith efforts are present. Please just communicate to us what happened so we can replace the missing resource.
