Great Tails Animal Rescue

A full beard consists of hair on the upper and lower lip, the chin, the cheeks, and the sideburns, without any natural or shaven gap. Lengths are measured from the bottom of the lower lip.

All competitors receive one free beer, cider, seltzer, or soda, provided by Rapids Brewing Co., and a Beards, Beers, and Best Friends tee-shirt.

Business Beard Category, Less than 4": Admit One

A mustache is composed of facial hair above the upper lip. Mustache hairs can start growing from up to a maximum of 5/8" (1.5 cm) beyond the end of the upper lip.

Mustache Category: Admit One

Full Beard Natural 4"-8": Admit One.

A partial beard is any facial hair that is neither a full beard nor a mustache.

All competitors receive one free beer, cider, seltzer, or soda provided by Rapids Brewing Co., and a Beards, Beers, and Best Friends tee-shirt.

Partial Beard Category: Admit One

Free design and styling of the beard. All full beards/partial bears that do not qualify for other categories may compete in this category.

Freestyle Category: Admit One

Full Beard Natural Longer than 8" Category: Admit One

Artistic categories are open to anyone who wants to participate. (18+) 
They are artificial and imaginative creations meant to resemble facial hair of any category, either literally or abstractly.

All creations must be attached to the head only (skull and/or jaw, not the neck) & hang hands-free. Each should maintain the shape of the facial hair style being represented. The judges are at liberty to deduct points for any creations that are not beard-shaped or otherwise generally not shaped true to style.

All competitors receive one free beer, cider, seltzer, or soda, provided by Rapids Brewing Co., and a Beards, Beers, and Best Friends tee-shirt.

Wiskerina Category: Admit One

Competitors from 0-18. With artificial and imaginative creations meant to resemble facial hair of any category, either literally or abstractly.
