The American Hero camo gear is our veteran’s favorite rod! Our Casting Freedom program was introduced several years ago, by me. I am a Marine who served in Operation Phantom Fury, a Purple Heart Veteran with a family of my own. Being familiar with the struggles, battles upon returning home from combat and having to face some of the hardest lessons and barriers from the effects that left me a different person, I decided to get back out on the water on my down time. The tranquility and calm began to come back to me and fond childhood memories of fishing with my Dad gave me another outlook on life and the issues that had kept me in a place of where I felt stuck and not quite able to move forward fully. Fishing is my outlet, and it has become something of a lifesaver for many of our veterans.  The program aims to send combat wounded veterans, veterans, and Gold Star Family members enough fishing equipment to get out on the water. We help by providing the therapeutic benefits of the outdoors.Once a month a combat wounded veteran or Gold Star family member will receive a generous gift allowing them to experience the outdoors.  We have been blessed with some wonderful sponsors. Our major sponsor/partner is Lew's who has been helping us to provide fishing gear to our members and we are proud to have provided more than one hundred of the American Hero sets.
