Pandit Shubhendra Rao is the premier disciple of the legend Pandit Ravi Shankar and described as the torch bearer of his Guru’s legacy. Recently Knighted by the King of Netherlands, Maestro Rao-de Haas is a pioneer in the world of music for creating and popularising her own instrument, the unique Indian Cello. Their music is described as “Movingly meditative” by NYT and “taking Indian music to a brave new era”. In this concert, they are joined by Tabla virtuoso, Harshad Kanetkar.
