Introducing an exciting soccer program brought to you by EAS in collaboration with Checkmate Soccer Academy – where young soccer talents thrive! 

We’re kicking off this initiative to bring the community a youths soccer league experience along with a pick up / open play session in parallel. Join us this weekend on Sunday August 27 from 9:00am-11:00am for the pick up / open play sessions in parallel with kicking off and planning the action-packed league. Age groups, teams, and other details for the league to be determined based on the ages, skill levels, etc of those who show interest. 

Checkmates Soccer Academy is kindly providing their time to organize and manage the league and the open play sessions free of charge. Attendees will only need to pay a fee to cover the field rental cost. Checkmates does provide soccer lessons / programs. What to expect on this first Sunday?  

• Two fields with open play for youths and adults / parents. Yes this is a youths program that will involve open play on one field and league matches on another, but for this first day consider it an open house to meet the team, and do open play on both fields

• Depending on how many people show up, we will have subs and also likely can do more than one match on each field

• Fields are indoors. 

• Turf, no cleats allowed

• Number of players on the pitch: 5-6 players on each team

• Cost: $10 per player this first session whether for adults or youths.
