Dirty Pot Ecoprinting with Lavender Stamper is a day-long workshop where you will learn the techniques for creating stunning prints on fabric using Lavender&#39;s special &quot;dirty pot&quot; technique! She will walk us through all the steps and you will leave with 2 scarves, one silk and one wool- one to keep and one to give away if you want! These scarves make amazing gifts! More on the technique: The dirty pot creates long lasting prints, without the use of mined metals salts, making it one of the most eco friendly methods. In this process, tannin-rich leaves are bound tightly to cloth by rolling and wrapping with string. These are transferred to a dye pot that has been simmering away, full of awesome dye plants that color the dye liquid. The rolls are unfurled after a period of steaming, revealing the luscious prints directly on the fabric. Details about the day: We will provide all the materials needed to enjoy learning these skills. We will also share a farm-fresh snack together as part of the experience. Please note that this is a fully outdoor experience, so please be prepared for that, though there is access to an indoor restroom.
