The Friends of the Lexington Senior Centers help keep things lively by catching the little things that tend to slip through the cracks in operating budgets as well as benevolent situations where there are no funds. We believe Lexington seniors deserve a lively place to convene, exercise, engage, play, and make the most of life. We also believe that seniors need to be celebrated for the valuable contributions they have made to our community.

This year we will be showcasing the talents in art, music and dance that are cultivated right here at our beloved Lexington Senior Centers at our 3rd Annual gala dinner. On September 19th , 2024 we will celebrate, cherish and raise the funds needed to keep our centers flourishing. The Friends of the Lexington Senior Center would like to invite you to share in this special evening by becoming a sponsor of this special event. There are several levels of sponsorship offered and we have attached a sponsorship benefits sheet for your review. The proceeds from the gala will support our mission to help with the financial needs that lie just outside the scope of the city’s budget for the Lexington Senior Center, Senior Programs at the Bell House and Charles Young Center as well as the Elder-crafters at the Black and Williams Center.  Little things like well-supplied art and music studios, well-maintained exercise equipment and well-stocked shelves of self-ready meals. The Friends also partner with the Kentucky Arts Council and Lexington Philharmonic to provide daytime concerts at the Lexington Senior Center several times a year.
