Join us for SPENGA Bloomingdale's 3rd annual Relay Ride for the Team Karen Foundation! The Team Karen Foundation was founded to give grants to local women battling stage 4 breast cancer after Bloomingdale local, Karen Carlquist, lost her battle in 2017. On Saturday, November 23rd from 1-4 PM, teams of 6 will ride for 3 hours (30 minutes per rider) to see who rides the most miles and takes home our Relay Ride trophy! We'll have great music from SPENGA alum Brittany Wereminski (aka DJ BWerm) and tons of raffles from some incredible donors. 100% of what we raise will go directly to Team Karen. 

Last year we were able to raise $5,000 to give grants to two women right before the holidays. Our goal this year is to raise enough to get three more incredible women grants to help pay for medical bills, Christmas gifts, or even a family vacation. Every dollar counts, and we can all make that possible, thanks to you! 

Don't forget the after party starting at 5:00 PM with our friends over at Pollyanna Brewing Company in Roselle. They have generously agreed to donate a portion of our drink sales to Team Karen!

Meet the brave women from 2023 Relay Ride's grants:

🩷 Samantha  (Top), 31, and her husband have 3 littles under the age of 5. Samantha told us she is staying present with her family and enjoying spending time with her kids. Her and her family were so deserving of this grant, and we hope they used it to help create new memories together.

🩷 Alexandria (Bottom), 34, had just given birth to her adorable son Smith in September 2023. He spent 82 days in the NICU while she started her treatment for Cancer in October. Even though she was going through such an experience of her own, the first thing she asked was how she could help pay it forward to other women next year.
