It’s Ski-in, Ski-out. If you plan on going, PLEASE BOOK LODGING ASAP. Rooms fill up, and it’s a PITA to commute. Unlike Park City, there are very few alternatives if you don’t stay on-site. <ol><li style="margin-right:0in;margin-left:0in;font-size:15px;font-family:Calibri, sans-serif;box-sizing:inherit">The Cliff Lodge: Use CODE UTS125 for discount rates at either the Cliff Lodge or the Lodge (Rates below). To book, please either call reservations department at 800-453-3000, option 2 OR book online using this weblink. We are staying at the Cliff Lodge, which is where I recommend booking.  The Lodge also has rooms, and is nearby (0.3 miles), but on the other side of the Snowbird Center. If you plan on staying longer, please call Snowbird to arrange lodging.</li><li style="margin-right:0in;margin-left:0in;font-size:15px;font-family:Calibri, sans-serif;box-sizing:inherit">Very slightly farther away from the Lodge is the <a href="https://www.snowbird.com/lodging/the-inn/" style="color:inherit;text-decoration:inherit;user-select:auto;box-sizing:inherit">Inn</a>, which are individually owned, and sometimes rented through snowbird, sometimes through VRBO. Right now, you cannot rent through snowbird, but if you see it on VRBO, it’s pretty close to the meeting space. Ditto goes for the <a href="https://www.snowbird.com/lodging/the-iron-blosam/" style="color:inherit;text-decoration:inherit;user-select:auto;box-sizing:inherit">Iron Blosam</a>, which is a timeshare that might offer weekly rental.</li><li style="margin-right:0in;margin-left:0in;font-size:15px;font-family:Calibri, sans-serif;box-sizing:inherit">There are a variety of lodges at <a href="https://www.alta.com/lodging" style="color:inherit;text-decoration:inherit;user-select:auto;box-sizing:inherit">Alta</a>. They vary from barebones to luxury. If you stay at Alta, It will be a 2-mile drive to snowbird. There are shuttles available, although timing may vary that early or late. If you wanted, you could ski along the road (Alta is uphill from Snowbird).</li><li style="margin-right:0in;margin-left:0in;font-size:15px;font-family:Calibri, sans-serif;box-sizing:inherit">VRBO or AirBNB nearby. Make sure it’s by Snowbird or Alta. Solitude and Brighton are the next canyon over.</li><li style="margin-right:0in;margin-left:0in;font-size:15px;font-family:Calibri, sans-serif;box-sizing:inherit">You could stay in Salt Lake City (Do not recommend during the meeting unless no other option). <a href="https://www.marriott.com/en-us/hotels/slccw-courtyard-salt-lake-city-cottonwood/overview/" style="color:inherit;text-decoration:inherit;user-select:auto;box-sizing:inherit">Courtyard by Marriott</a> is probably the closest. It will be a 20 minute drive with no traffic. Although the conference will be on a weekday, expect substantial traffic, especially if we get a powder dump. Additionally, Little Cottonwood Canyon is one of the most avalanche-prone roads, so it is common that the road may be closed in the early morning while they work on clearing it. If there is snow, there is a good chance that staying in the valley will be very inconvenient, or you may miss the 7AM morning session.
