Ridge-Con Fantasy Festival Dress Rules General:

Ridge-Con is a family friendly Renaissance, Comic-Con blend. We encourage all kinds of costumes from renaissance periods, or your favorite characters, and imaginations. 

We respect the cultures and views of all our attendees and ask that you do the same when attending our event. 

Important rules about our event: 

Due to this event having a family friendly focus, our rules on costumes will be strictly enforced. Nudity of any kind is prohibited. 

Men and women must have tops and bottoms. 

No thongs, or skirts that do not cover the glutes. 

Any exposure of a genital area will not be allowed. 

Although we absolutely encourage adult participation and imagination please remember that this is a family event first and respect is our top priority.

• Real weapons of any kind are NOT allowed, this includes steel swords, knives, blades, or guns. Most prop weapons are permitted but no metal prop guns are allowed. All contestants are subject to inspection upon entering the fairgrounds. The contest and show managers have the final say on whether a prop weapon will be allowed on location. Weapons will be peace-bonded.

• No projectiles

• Costume must be tasteful and generally PG-rated. Nudity of any kind will not be permitted. Skirts are acceptable but must cover the glutes and not allow for exposure of private areas. 

• Costumes can be of an original invented character or a character from all genres such as video games, history, anime, movies, etc. 

• Loud audio, air horns or other noisemakers louder the 30 decibels will not be permitted.

• Graphic horror imagery is greatly discouraged

• Flames, fireworks, and lasers are not allowed. Electronic flashing lights are generally permitted unless they create a disturbance.
