Whether you're interested in decorative stitching, visible mending, or simply learning a new creative skill, you'll explore the foundations of hand embroidery while creating a beautiful and practical embroidered needle book. Participants will learn more than a dozen common embroidery stitches, experiment with a variety of thread types, and discover how different fibers create unique textures and effects. Along the way, you'll create a handmade needle book—a useful keepsake for storing your embroidery needles and a wonderful reference for future projects. Once you've learned the basics, you'll have the skills and confidence to continue exploring embroidery in your own creative work.
