The Greater Pittston Regional Ambulance (GPRA) is please to host the National EMS Management Association (NEMSMA) Basic EMS FTO and the Developing and Managing the EMS Field Training and Evaluation Program!
Basic EMS Field Training Officer (FTO) Course
The position of Field Training Officer (FTO) is often the first rung on the career ladder for a paramedic. Many agencies appoint paramedics as FTO with no preparation except for their prior field experience. The three-day Basic FTO course will introduce the prospective FTO to the structure, tools, techniques, and concepts of EMS-FTEP™. It will provide instruction in adult learning principles, coaching, evaluation, giving feedback, and documenting trainee performance using EMS-FTEP™ tools. This includes Standardized Evaluation Guidelines, Recruit Training Manual, and Daily Observation Reports.
This 3 day program runs from 8am-5pm daily September 8th-10th
Developing and Managing the EMS Field Training and Evaluation Program (EMS-FTEP™)
This two-day executive-level course is intended for supervisors, educators, managers, and executives who want to develop a sound, legally defensible EMS field training and evaluation program (EMS-FTEP™) to integrate new employees smoothly and effectively into their agencies or to strengthen and solidify an existing field training program.
This program runs from 8am-5pm September 11th-12th
