Misfits Rehab came to the rescue, and is the only wildlife rescue in midcoast Maine that is trained in bat rehab. Jennifer Marchigiani, the founder of Misfit and savior for local wildlife, is now the one who needs help in order to continue her important work. For nearly 25 years, Jennifer has given Maine’s wildlife a safe haven through Misfits Rehab, caring for animals from mice and bats to porcupines, opossums, and beavers. Now, her home, which is also the place that makes this work possible, is in urgent need of major repairs. Rotting siding, a failing roof, a deteriorating deck, and aging plumbing have created an overwhelming financial burden for her as she lives on limited SSI. This is more than a home in need of repair. It’s the heart of Misfits Rehab and a lifeline for the animals who depend on her care. Let's help repay a fraction of the incredible kindness Jen has shown to wildlife in need by supporting her in her time of need.
