Join artist Katie Mulligan&nbsp;for a hands-on illustration workshop exploring extinct organisms and the stories we tell about our planet&rsquo;s past. Through this experience, you&#39;ll create an illustration centered on an extinct species and craft an engaging image that captures viewers&#39; attention while communicating something about the organism. This workshop will begin with an introduction to sketching, illustration development, and recommended planning methods, including rough color comps. Katie encourages all participants to experiment with different media and formats to convey information or context about their selected organism. To prepare for the workshop, Katie invites you to research an extinct organism you would like to discuss and illustrate. Katie will provide reference images of extinct wetland organisms if you would like to use one of hers.&nbsp; No formal art training is required!
