Welcome to the 2024 FNDcourage Adult Retreat!
We are so happy to have you and excited to share this unique experience of community and learning with you.
You probably have many questions, and we would like to share some information in this first email.
1. How do I get to the YMCA in Estes Park?
If you are coming from DIA airport, there is a shuttle service to Estes Park available. Please book ahead of time to ensure a smooth and easy travel time. The service is https://www.estesparkshuttle.com/DIA-airport-shuttle, Please pick the YMCA of the Rockies as your destination.

2. When is check-in on the first day?
We will be checking you in at 5:00 pm MOUNTAIN TIME, on Thursday, September 7th. Check-in will happen outside the cabin. We will give you directions closer to the retreat.
3. What should I bring?
YMCA of the Rockies locations are between 8,010 - 8,700 feet above sea level. Be prepared with the proper attire, as temperatures can vary dramatically over the course of a day.
A variety of loose, comfortable, layered clothing. It can get a little chilly during the evenings, so please also bring a warm layer, like a light down jacket or a wool sweater. A rain jacket, just in case. A bathing suite, if you intend to use the wheelchair-accessible swimming pool. Outdoor walking or hiking shoes. Hat and sunscreen! Any medication you are taking.
4. When does the retreat end?
Checkout time is at 10:00 am on Sunday.
5. Is there a map of the YMCA property so that I can familiarize myself?

6. The YMCA (not part of the FNDcourage retreat) offers all kinds of fun activities, will I have time to participate?
This link will show you all activities available at the ESTES PARK CENTER https://ymcarockies.org/Activities/Compare.
These activities are NOT part of the FNDcourage retreat, and you would have to make any potential bookings on your own. There will be some REST time as part of the FNDcourage retreat, and you will have to judge if you want to add more "to your plate." FNDcourage will NOT be responsible for any activities you choose outside the official FNDcourage retreat activities.
7. Is there WIFI available?
Wi-Fi is provided in each of the cabins and lodges.
Cell service varies by carrier. Cell service can be limited depending on your location on the property. Please note you are in a mountain area and cell service can be limited throughout the geographical region.
8. Can I consume marijuana?
Though allowed by law in Colorado, YMCA of the Rockies has a strict no marijuana policy that forbids the possession, use and/or consumption of marijuana anywhere on our properties, at the YMCA, or during participation in the FNDcourage retreat. Thank you for abiding by the YMCA policy.
