Natya UW is proud to host Laasya 2023, the nation's premier intercollegiate Indian Classical dance competition! The show will be held on Sunday, February 19th, 2023 from 5:30 PM - 8:30 PM at the iconic Meydenbauer Center. Come watch the top collegiate teams in the nation take the stage for an evening devoted to passion and creativity in the Indian Classical dance forms. It was founded in 2009 with the mission of making Indian classical dance exciting, impactful, and accessible to all audiences. UW Natya has won 12 awards, most recently 1st place at another intercollegiate competition, performed in over 100 events and aims to pay homage to the pioneers of Indian classical dance in every performance through their unique choreography, music choice, and storytelling. Natya has continued to bring together various forms of Indian classical dance to university, state, and national audiences.
